About Us
Our Mission
The Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development (CCCYD) aims to provide its community members, particularly vulnerable women, children, and orphans, with the resources they need to succeed in order to promote sustainable development in the region.
Our Vision
The Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development (CCCYD) hopes to expand significantly in the future in order to assist the greatest number of the vulnerable population in the Solwezi District possible. Over the next five years, CCCYD will work to expand its funding to build more classrooms, hire more teachers, and offer more levels of education to students.
Our aim is to see every child access education regardless of their social or economic status. -Alex Bwaluka, CCCYD Founder

Our Background
The Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development (CCCYD) was was established in 2005 in Zambia's Solwezi District as a community response to a multitude of health, educational, and social crises exacerbated by HIV/ AIDS. The organization also emerged out of CCCYD founder Alex Bwaluka's desire to help children who, like him, have grown up with limited funds to access educational opportunities.
