Our Mission

The Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development (CCCYD) aims to provide its community members, particularly vulnerable women, children, and orphans, with the resources they need to succeed in order to promote sustainable development in the region.

As CCCYD, we envision a society where children, youths and women have access to health, education and economic opportunities.

Our Background

The Charity Centre for Children and Youth Development (CCCYD) was was established in 2005 in Zambia's Solwezi District as a community response to a multitude of health, educational, and social crises exacerbated by HIV/ AIDS. The organization also emerged out of CCCYD founder Alex Bwaluka's desire to help children who, like him, have grown up with limited funds to access educational opportunities.​
