HIV/AIDS Awareness and Prevention Initiatives
CCCYD has focused on HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness, as the Solwezi district has historically experienced high levels of HIV/AIDS transmissions. Since CCCYD's founding in 2010, CCCYD has provided counseling and testing services to increase prevention initiatives in the Solwezi District. In 2017, these services reached over 2,800 people and distributed over 64,000 male condoms within markets and bus stations in the Solwezi district. CCCYD additionally owns two mobile tents and has 12 volunteer counselors who provide consistent static and mobile counseling in the Western province.
