Volunteers are essential to helping CCCYD further its mission. Volunteers hold a variety of different roles, providing them with professional experience as well as gratifying work. Responsibilities and qualifications of the positions that CCCYD is currently looking for are listed below.

Accountant

The Accountant is responsible for:
  • Calculating the monthly profit and loss
  • Providing balance sheet reports, tax reporting
  • Inventory processing, assisting with the preparation of year-end and statutory accounts
  • Responding to financial inquiries, advising on estimates for project funding and fundraising
  • Conducting internal audits such as wage reviews, and managing and orienting staff on financial management processes when necessary

Project Officer

The Project Officer is responsible for:
  • Conducting regular visits to all CCCYD project sites to monitor activities and collect feedback
  • Developing and strengthening local project networks
  • Collecting data on project indicators and updating CCCYD project progress database
  • Identifying and documenting case studies on past project successes
  • Assisting the program team in reviewing log frames, M&E work plans, and targets at the proposal development stage through project implementation

Primary School Teacher

Please keep in mind that a TCZ Certification is required for The Primary School Teacher position. Teachers are responsible for:
  • Preparing weekly lessons, exams, and progress reports in various subjects, fostering a conducive learning environment for all students
  • Being in the classroom from 8am-4pm Monday through Friday
  • Encouraging English use among students
  • Maintaining a good order in the classroom
  • Seeing that all instructional material is available to each child as needed
